I HAVE NOT USED MY SPEEDMATIC IN SEVERAL YEARS. TODAY WHEN I TURNED IT ON, I DIDN’T LIKE THE SOUND OF IT. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT MIGHT BE A BEARING BUT THE MANUALSAYS THE BEARINGS ARE SEALED. DO YOU HVEA SUGGESTION??
Hey Cliff, sorry to hear your problem. Wood router often makes the bizarre groaning sound when it becomes old or left unused for longer times. This noise occurs frequently when the bearing is jammed or stuck with specks of dirt. You can lubricate the bearings, both the top and bottom which may solve the jamming of the bear.
